What we do

Six ways we get
freight moving again.

Everything happens on one floor in Plainfield. Freight comes in off a truck, gets handled, and goes back out ready for the next leg — usually without ever being warehoused.

S 01 Cross-docking

Two wrapped pallets loaded square against the nose of a trailer

Trailer to trailer,
no warehouse in between.

Freight comes off one truck and goes directly onto the next. Nothing gets put away, nothing gets picked — which means no storage charges and no extra days on the clock.

This is the right move when a trailer breaks down, a driver runs out of hours, a load needs splitting between two trucks, or you're consolidating several partials into one outbound.

Typical jobs

  • Full trailer transferred to a replacement truck after a breakdown
  • One inbound split across two or more outbound carriers
  • Several partials consolidated into a single full load
  • Freight moved off a reefer that's lost its unit

S 02 Restacking & rework

Cases stacked tight and square, corners aligned, wrapped under clear film

Rebuilt so the receiver
signs for it.

A pallet that leans, steps out or sheds film is a pallet that gets refused — and a refusal costs far more than the rework. We take it apart and rebuild it square, wrap it properly, and photograph it before it goes.

What this covers

  • Leaning, stepped or partially collapsed pallets rebuilt from the deck up
  • Over-height pallets broken down into two legal stacks
  • Damaged or broken pallets swapped out
  • Re-wrapping, corner boards and strapping
  • Re-labelling and new pallet placards where the originals are destroyed
  • Segregating damaged cases so the clean freight still delivers

If cases are crushed or leaking, we'll set them aside, count them, and send you photos so you have what you need for the claim.

S 03 Shifted & overweight loads

Caught it at the scale?
Bring it here.

A load that shifted in transit, or one that was loaded heavy on an axle to begin with, doesn't get fixed with a strap. It has to come off, get redistributed, and go back on in the right place.

What we do

  • Unload, redistribute and reload to correct axle weights
  • Re-secure a load that moved — bracing, dunnage bags, strapping
  • Fill voids so it doesn't shift again on the next leg
  • Remove freight to bring a gross or axle weight under the limit
  • Short-term storage for anything that has to come off the truck

We're not a scale house and we don't issue weight certificates — we fix the distribution so you can go and re-weigh with confidence.

S 04 Short-term storage

Somewhere to put it
until it can move.

Receiver closed, appointment blown, truck reassigned, or a load waiting on a replacement trailer. Freight sits inside on a dry floor until it's ready to go, and we tell you exactly what's there.

How it works

  • Billed by pallet and by day — no long contract
  • Indoor, dry, off the ground
  • Piece and pallet counts recorded on arrival
  • Photos on request at any point while it's with us
  • Loaded straight back out when your truck arrives

We're set up for short stays measured in days, not months. If you need long-term warehousing we'll say so and point you elsewhere.

S 05 Local pickup & delivery

We'll go get it.
We'll take it in.

If the freight can't come to us, or the consignee needs it and your truck is already gone, we run it. Pickup and delivery anywhere in the Chicago metro and the surrounding counties.

Common runs

  • Recovering freight from a disabled truck or an impound yard
  • Final-mile delivery after the line-haul carrier has moved on
  • Collecting a refused load and bringing it in for rework
  • Shuttling between intermodal yards and shipper docks

S 06 After-hours support

Nights, weekends, holidays

Freight problems don't
keep office hours.

Most of what we do happens because something went wrong at a bad time. That's the whole point of the service — you call, a person answers, and they can actually make a decision.

—

A person, not a queue

No ticket system and no call-centre script. The number on this site reaches someone who can look at your photos.

—

A straight answer

If we can take it, we'll tell you when and what it costs. If we can't, we'll tell you that too rather than waste your night.

—

Proof it was done

Photos of the finished load before it leaves, so you and your customer can both see what you're paying for.

Not sure which one you need?

Describe it. We'll work
out the rest.

Half the calls we get start with “I don't know what this is called, but…”. That's fine. Send a photo.
